Interpreter/Special Events Coordinator
At the Hampton Roads Naval Museum

The Hampton Roads Naval Museum in Norfolk, VA has immediate opening for an Educational Interpreter/Special Events Coordinator.  The position entails development and presentation of education programs in the museum and onboard the historic battleship USS Wisconsin.  The candidate will also coordinate the museum's luncheon lecture series for the public and special events for its @ 200 docents.  
The position is a full-time civilian contract position paying @ $10.32/hour.  The museum is looking for applicants with appropriate educational qualifications or equivalent experience in museums or history.  Customer service experience is a plus.  The applicant will be required to work some weekends.
The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is one of ten U.S. Navy operated museums. Its mission is to interpret the history of the Navy in Hampton Roads. The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is also responsible for the historic interpretation of the battleship USS Wisconsin.
