You are SOMEwhat right. SOME Indians, in SOME places, at SOME times, held 
SOME captured enemies in SOMEthing like slavery, for SOME period of time 
before they were assimilated into the tribe. The differences are legions, 
and I'm not even sure that slaves in Indian tribes were considered as 
personal property, or just as lesser beings, which is not exactly slavery.
