This is a great book that should be in every library and one that exposes
the manipulations that has degraded the legacy of a great president. Let
those mentioned there hear from serious members of this list.

Subject: [VA-HIST] Hemings-TJ, Charlottesville newspaper

Without meaning to suggest or provoke any resumption of Hemings-TJ paternity
debating in this forum, I'd like to report that Robert F. Turner of the
University of Virginia has published an op-ed on the subject in the
Charlottesville Daily Progress at
http://www2.dailyprogress.com/news/2011/dec/11/commentary-sally-hemings-myth
-ar-1533234/ -- and that the newspaper itself accepts online comments as
well as letters to the editor ([log in to unmask]). Thanks.
