The George Washington Foundation, a privately held, 501 (c)(3) non-profit 
organization, headquartered in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, seeks to fill the 
following position in the curatorial department: 

Title: Curatorial Assistant

Description of duties: The Curatorial Assistant will be responsible for the care 
and handling of artifacts, collections management tasks, cataloguing, and 
cleaning and monitoring exhibition spaces. BA degree required, MA preferred. 
Previous museum experience and knowledge of museum practices and 
procedures preferred. Good organizational, communication and computer skills; 
familiarity with PastPerfect cataloging systems a plus.
