The Choctaws, Chicasaws, Cherokees, Creed and Seminoles all were known to  
own Black slaves.  C.f. Slavery and the Evolution of Cherokee  Society.  The 
Cherokee were also known as salve traders of great  skill, and were also good 
slave trackers for runaways.
 
The Indians continued to hold their Black slaves until 1866 when they  signed 
various treaties to bring them into conformity with the requirements of  the 
13th Amendment.
