Subject: National Archives User Group Meeting



Dear Genealogist,  

 

The next User Group Meeting of researchers and genealogist who use the
National Archives is set for:

 

Friday, November 19, 2010 at the National Archives in College Park.  

The meeting will start at 1:00 pm in Lecture Room B.  

 

The items that Diane Dimkoff ([log in to unmask]) from the National
Archives has scheduled for discussion are:  

 

I.     A-2 Saturday pull pilot

 

II.   WiFi Update

 

III.  Update on NARA's proposal to use colored paper/Green Bags

 

IV.   A-1 Renovation/Budget Update

 

V.  Web site remake/ARC/ OPA

 

VI.  Security measures for staff

 

VII.  Pension file move to St. Louis

 

VIII.  Q and A

 

 Minutes from the previous meetings can be viewed at
http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/researcher-users-group/.  If you have
not been able to attend the meeting you might want to review these
documents.

 

Even if you only occasionally visit the National Archives, I encourage
you to attend these meetings to keep yourself informed as to what is
happening at the National Archives.  Also, if you have never had an
opportunity to visit the National Archives at College Park, use this
opportunity to visit the facility and wander around the various floors.
Parking is free and there is a cafeteria at the building.
