From the description this appears to be William J. Van Schreeven, Robert L.
Scribner, and Brent Tarter, eds., REVOLUTIONARY VIRGINIA, THE ROAD TO
INDEPENDENCE; A DOCUMENTARY RECORD. I worked on this for eight years back in
the once upon a time. It was a project of the Virginia Independence
Bicentennial Commission. Seven volumes were planned and published for the
commission by the University Press of Virginia, 1973-1983.

The life of the commission expired at the end of the day 30 June 1982 while
the final volume (which is in two parts) was in production. No more were or
are planned.

Mr. Tarter: At the UNC-Greensboro library I have reviewed a published,
multi-volume collection of Virginia documents leading up to the Revolution.
UNCG has the volume that goes to about mid-1776. Are more volumes
available or planned? Thanks, JOHN MAASS
