Book Talk at the Library of Virginia

_Cooling the South: The Block Ice Era, 1875–1975_ by Elli Morris

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Time: Noon–1:00 PM

Place: Conference Rooms

FREE EVENT

Elli Morris will discuss and sign her new book that explores the nearly lost craft
of making, selling, and storing ice, so necessary in the days before
refrigeration and air-conditioning. _Cooling the South_ provides a rich history
of this fading business in words and images.

The Library of Virginia is located at 800 East Broad Street in downtown
Richmond. Free parking is available under the building.
