I am a proponent of free speech; however, I do not believe free speech 
forces me to invite individuals who are carrying on personal vendettas 
into my home. And I have discovered a way to both enjoy VA-HIST and 
limit the access of those who violate what I thought was its purpose---I 
have discovered I can use email filters to screen out those individuals 
I no longer wish to hear from--I recommend it to others who are, like I 
am, tired of deleting the repetitious, untutored contributions as well 
as the personal attacks flooding the list.
