Sarah Patton Boyle's memoir, _The Desegregated Heart: A Virginian's Stand in
Time of Transition_, first published in 1962, is available in paperback from
the University Press of Virginia with a new introduction by Jennifer
Ritterhouse. It is very evocative and involving.
