Mapping in Virginia, with GMU 'Geography of Virginia' instructor Charlie Grymes

Virginia is rich in history, and much of it is illustrated. Spanish spies mapped Jamestown. Thomas Jefferson's father helped define the Virginia-Carolina border. French troops recorded their route through Prince William on the way to Yorktown. Fire insurance companies documented the pattern of buildings in cities. And, long before VDOT, there were maps of roads and human and deer trails going from hither to yon. Come explore the images of Virginia and the stories behind those maps.
