The Alexandria Library, Special Collections launched its Photographs
Collection Index.  This index includes 100 of our 10,000 photos with access
by way of subject terms.  While mostly of Alexandria subjects, the index
includes a set of photos of train stations along the W.& O.D. rail line as
far as Bluemont and Paeonian Springs west of Leesburg.

Not to be missed is the Nelly Custis Airmen's Lounge(!) on the site of the
former Custis homestead of Abingdon at Reagan National Airport, the 1930s
era aerial views of Alexandria, the 1920s era eateries which served tourists
at Mt. Vernon. Enjoy all!
