The Friends of the Virginia State Archives present their 20th annual
program, Straight to the Source: An Introduction to Research Using
Archival Records at the Library of Virginia, on Friday, April, 13, 2012,
at the Library of Virginia, 800 E. Broad Street, Richmond, from 8:30 am
to 3:00 pm.  Speakers from the Archives staff will discuss the 1940 US
Census, resources related to the War of 1812, research uses of county
court coroner's inquests, and the structure of Virginia's court system
from 1776 to 1970. The cost is $35 for members of the Friends and $50
for non-members.  A box lunch is included.  Pre-registration is required
