And a mighty fine and interesting book it is! I look forward to reading
your take on the relationship -- one wonders about Mary Ball and what
really happened. There are so few indepth studies of eighteenth century
women, so this will be welcome reading on many levels.

I'm going to be leading a 4 week OLLI class on George Mason. (2 1/2 sessions
on Mason, 1 on the world in 1775, and a guest appearance by Don McAndrews
portraying GM). So have been rereading and rereading lots of
information -- including "An Uneven Friendship . . ." In order to keep
from being bogged down in minutia, I wonder what are the three things about
"the other George" that you consider most important? (Realizing that he
comes in your choir of leaders behind Washington & Madison). If you have
time, I would really appreciate your suggestions.

Many thanks -
Barbara
