Va-Hist:

A very few people have been engaged in a not-very-productive exchange of
gottcha lasts to the great annoyance of some of us. When people ask to
be unsubscribed from Va-Hist because of the personal exchanges that some
members post, it is time to stop. Therefore, much as I hate to call a
halt to any discussion, we will now cease this current thread.
