It would seem that he gave his papers to State University of New York at
Albany. Below is the catalog record of what is there. Just below the SUNY-Albany
record is a record for material at the American Philosophical Society
(Philadelphia) that has what may be some tangential information.

Author: Davenport, Charles Benedict, 1866-1944.
Title: Cold Spring Harbor Papers, ca. 1903-1940.
Description: ca. 20,000 items (20 linear ft.).
Notes: Charles B. Davenport's influence and efforts at
Cold Spring Harbor, New York, began in 1898 when he became
the director of the summer school of the Biological
Laboratory, a position he held until 1923. The lab was
administered by the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and
Sciences,
but their support was uncertain by 1902, at which time
Davenport began a two-year correspondence with the
directors
of the newly-created Carnegie Institution of Washington. In
1904, the Carnegie Institution established the Station for
Experimental Evolution, voting Davenport director on
January
                  19. In October 1910, the Eugenics Record Office was
established, existing as a separate laboratory at Cold
Spring
Harbor. Mrs. E. H. Harriman was responsible for its
establishment, eventually endowing it with $300,000 in
1918.
The Eugenics Record Office and the Station for Experimental
Evolution were combined under the administrative title of
the
Department of Genetics of the Carnegie Institution of
                  Washington in 1921.
There are two series within these papers, the
first being Davenport's communications with the Carnegie
administrators. There are also accounts, reports, etc.
concerning financial matters, publications, salaries, and
included is interesting material relative to the early
history of Cold Spring Harbor labs (there is similar
material
in Davenport's own papers, B\D27). There is voluminous
correspondence with the Carnegie presidents, Robert
Woodward
                  and John Merriam.
Series 2 is larger and contains records relative
to the numerous professional assistants who worked under
Davenport, both permanent and part-time. The folders
contain
                  letters, reports, expenditures/budgets, research plans,
bibliographies, etc. Included in this series are records of
the separate labs, the Station for Experimental Evolution
and
the Eugenics Record Office. There is also significant
material on the Bermuda Biological Station. Additionally,
this series contains material relating to the various
professional organizations to which Davenport belonged,
such
as the American Eugenics Society, Eugenics Research
Association, Nassau County Association, and the National
                  Committee for Mental Hygiene.
Presented by the Carnegie Institution of
                  Washington, 1965.
