Concerning the following article:

* "From Outpost to Courthouse: Plotting Brentsville," by Pamela
Myer Sackett, a history of the settlement and development of the Brent
Town tract, a 30,000 acre land grant in western Prince William, that
dates back to 1687. In 1822 a new town within it became the seat of
county government.

Readers who consider the acticle on the Brentville Courthouse in "old" Prince
William of scholarly significance should check my article in ATAVUS,
March/April 2003. ATAVUS is the on-line journal of Burke's Peerage and
Gentry, http://www.burkes-peerage.net, and available on individual or library
subscription.

The article is "The Stuart Family of Virginia -- Friends of Robert E. Lee,
famous Southern General".

and Shelby's kinsman
