In response to the Open Letter:
 
(1.) A more adequate and consistent understanding of oral history.
 
BS is BS whether it is handed down or merely created sua sponte


(2.)  A more careful attention to the biases inherent in your  own language.
 
The language isn't as important as a reasonable analysis of the facts and  
conclusion
.

(3.)  A minimal courtesy to those who disagree with you.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but not their own facts.
