Today's Out of the Box features Accomack County's Census of Tobacco Plants, 1725, 1728-1729, created to comply with the Tobacco Acts of 1723 and 1729. Accompanying the post are images of Virginia ladies adorned in tobacco couture found in the Library of Virginia's prints and photographs collection.
