Thanks for your interest.  The spelling of Bearsville, seems to be very
clear, but perhaps I need to show it to others to see what they come up
with.  An Albemarle Co. location is the most logical.

As far as other stuff.
a.  Rockwood Howe (seems to me it's spelled rockward then) is on the 1880
census CD set from LDS as working in a foundry in Baltimore MD.
b.  In 1900, he's heading a household with his third wife Minnie in the
District of Columbia.
c.  In 1910, he's back in Richmond as a widower, with his daughter Lucy
with him.
d.  He died in 1915, bur. in Hollywood cem.
