This is to announce that the revised and updated Virginia Genealogy: A
Guide to Genealogical Resources at the University of Virginia web site
is now available to the public at URL:
http://www.lib.virginia.edu/genealogy/

This web site is intended to be the 3rd edition of the classic Virginia
Genealogy that was compiled and published by Library staff (including
Kendon Stubbs) in 1983. This new edition adds several new sections,
such as maps, as well as including selected web sites devoted to
genealogy. A new section has been added entitled Help for Beginning
Genealogists which includes some basic instructional sites and
resources.
