Guy Fawkes Day, commemorating Nov. 5, 1605, is when the English government
foiled a plot by Guy Fawkes and other Catholics to blow up Parliament, kill
King James I, and place one of his Catholic relatives on the throne.  I
wonder how this was observed in Virginia in the 17th century.....
