Some of you may be familiar with the Freeman File - a card index of
newspaper articles (subject, name) begun by Douglas Southall Freeman and
continued by Richmond newspapers staff. The years covered are from the
1920s up through about 1980. The entries list the headline, the
publication's name (usually by abbreviation), date of publication, and page
number, The cards were filmed and is available on micro-fische at several
Richmond area repositories. The Freeman File is primarily an index to the
Richmond Times Dispatch and the Richmond News Leader. But there are a few
exceptions - I've seen a few entries for the New York Times and the
Virginia Cavalcade.

Yesterday, a patron using the Freeman File found three references for the
topic he was researching that appear to be newspaper articles but we do not
know the name of this newspaper or periodical - the initials are: ERRDS

Any ideas on what periodical that might be?

These articles were from the late 1950s and the subject was an early kind
of on demand for movies to be shown on TV - the test run of this was done
in Richmond and Hardford, CT. Any info. on that topic would also be helpful.

thanks,
Ray
