. . .  and I note that this has absolutely nothing to do with Virginia
history, and, per your usual modus operandi, is a transparent attempt to
wind up various folks on the list.  Please cease and desist.

People, please don't take the bait.  I have the task of being the
VA-Hist moderator while Brent is out of the office.  I would prefer to
have a quiet tenure.

I note the crowd in Austin at the Juneteenth "celebration" yesterday
beat  an innocent person to death.
 
Is this a traditional part of the Texas celebration of freedom from
slavery, or a 21st century addition?
