I didn't get the impression of any bitterness or anger.  Considering the subject and your relation to those under discussion, I think your responses are well-measured and kind.

I'm not bitter or angry, that's just the way the rules are at present
and may or may not change today....but you need to be able to document
your ancestors back to someone on the Dawes Roll...that's just the
rule...not sure how that comes across as bitter or angry....
