I have recently returned from Windsor where I photographed the memorial and
bust of Topham Foote in Windsor Parish Church, just a short distance from
one of Windsor Castle's main gates. The memorial may be of interest since
Topham Foote is a first cousin, once removed, of Elizabeth Foote
Washington's (wife of Lund). This is family that owned Cedar Grove on
Chotank Creek (see August 4, 2001 Washington Post for story on Cedar Grove
being preserved as Bald Eagle habitat).

Henry S. Foote wrote before 1880 that Samuel (Topham's father) was buried
at Windsor. However, new proof, the Will of Topham's grandfather, is now
available on web. See chotank.com/gindex.html for link to the Will of
Richard Foote.
