The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce that through the
generosity of the Friends of the Virginia State Archives 103 reels of
microfilm of West Virginia county deed books have been added to the
research collections of the Library.

They consist of 9 reels from Barbour County, 4 reels from Braxton
County, 11 reels from Brooke County, 7 reels from Calhoun County, 50
reels from Greenbrier County, and 22 reels from Kanawha County.

A detailed finding aid is available in the Main Reading Room of the
Library of Virginia and will soon be added to the Library of Virginia's
web site at http://www.lva.lib.va.us

For the list of West Virginia County records already available on
microfilm in the Library of Virginia, begin at the Library of Virginia's
web site, click open the Site Index, select the letter W, and open "West
Virginia County Records on Microfilm."

For Virginia county and city records available on microfilm in the
Library of Virginia, begin at the Library of Virginia's web site, click
open the Site Index, select the letter C, and open "County and City
Records on Microfilm."
