The Alexandria Library, Special Collections updated two of its indexes and
they are available
online as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files.

The Subject Index to Northern Virginia History Magazines starts with the
1951 Yearbook of the
Fairfax County Historical Society, includes another dozen titles, and is
complete through
December 2001. So, when you field the question, “Was Erwin Rommel really
sited in
Fredericksburg in 1936,?” you’ll be ready.

The Archives and Manuscript Collections Index was given a total overhaul and
is also available.
Of particular interest is our Blueprints and Measured Drawings collection
(why we have all those
movie theaters, I do not know), as well as our extensive collection of Civil
War Prints (see entries
under “Prints”).
