Exhibit Opening: Take Our Stand: the African American Military Experience in
the Age of Jim Crow

Join us at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia for the
opening of a new exhibition chronicling the pivotal role of African
Americans in the U.S. military from the Spanish-American War through World
War II.  Organized by the American Civil War Center, "Take Our Stand" features
rare images from the Center’s John H. Motley Collection.    5:30 p.m.-7:30
p.m.  Free opening reception on Friday, February 5. Exhibit dates: February
5-May 29, 2010.
