The next program in the Virginia Heritage Resource Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will take place at noon on Friday, 20
February, 2004 in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby in the
Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond. The
speaker will be William G. Thomas, III, Director of the Center for
Digital History at the University of Virginia. His topic will be
"Television News and Civil Rights in Virginia." Dr. Thomas will discuss
the civil rights struggle as seen on Virginia television stations, and
will include some clips from broadcasts.
 
There is free underground parking for Library patrons. For more
