I appreciate the heads-up from Anita Wills on the unscrupulous actions of a
publisher. For me, it is much easier to just publish online, but someday I'd
like to get published in hard copy. Her mis-adventures are useful in
understanding how to go about it.

Another source of information on publishing is the Writer's Market. They,
too suggest getting an agent, but warn it can be hard for a first-time
author.
