Hanover Tavern Foundation is seeking an energetic and dynamic Executive
Director to assist the Board of Directors in its efforts to fulfill the
Foundation’s mission:

The mission of Hanover Tavern Foundation is to restore, preserve and
utilize Hanover Tavern as an historic, educational, community and cultural
resource center.

The Executive Director’s responsibilities include:

1) Administration and board liaison- responsible for the daily operations
of the Foundation; manages office staff; assists the President in preparing
for meetings; assists Treasurer in preparing annual budget; attends all
Executive Committee and Board meetings; supervises staff support of
committees; supports accounting office; oversees maintenance of Hanover
Tavern.

2) Oversee restoration/construction project-works closely with the chairs
of the Building and Grounds committee to oversee the project; coordinates
architect and engineers; represents the Foundation to the regulatory
agencies involved in the project.

3) Fundraising for both operating and capital expenditures-assists the
Board as it solicits individual, corporate support; oversees the
development office and grant writing efforts.

4) Represent the Foundation in the community-interacts with local
governmental agencies, historical societies, museums, and the general
public as the “face of Hanover Tavern”; works with the public relations
firm in the preparation of brochures and other material needed to tell the
Foundation’s story; coordinates biannual production of the Foundation’s
newsletter.

5) Oversee Public Programs- coordinates all programs with the help of both
staff and the Special Events Committee.  Some of the annual programs
include: Holiday Gift Shop/Crafts Fair, Civil War Weekend Re-enactment.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and related experience required.  Preference will be
given to candidates with 3-5 years management experience in a related non-
profit organization.  Salary commensurate with experience, benefits
