Please plan on joining the American Revolution Round Table of Richmond’s November 18 gathering.  Tony Williams will return to speak about his new book Washington and Hamilton: The Alliance That Forged American. The ARRT-Richmond’s Book Award committee has chosen Mike Harris’ Brandywine as our 2015 winner. We were able to announce our winner at the 2015 Fort Ticonderoga Seminar on the American Revolution last month, with 120 people in attendance.  Great publicity for both Mike and ARRT-Richmond.  Mike will join us in 2017 to both accept the award and speak.  Congratulations to Mike!

This from Douglas Powell about the annual Crossing of the Dan Commemoration.

The 235th Anniversary Commemoration of the “Crossing of the Dan” in 2016 will be held in The Prizery arts center and by the Dan River in South Boston, Virginia, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 13.  The guest speaker will be Janet Uhlar, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, author of Freedom’s Cost: The Story of Nathanael Greene.  That will be followed by the annual wreath presentations and a river crossing reenactment on the actual Boyd’s Ferry site.  The free event is hosted annually by the SAR, DAR, local Historical Society and others.
