GRIVA will host author Connie Lapallo who will speak about “Writing and
Telling the Story of Those in Our Family Tree” on Tuesday, October 27,
2015. Ms. LaPallo is the author of *Dark Enough to See the Stars in a
Jamestown Sky* and *When the Moon Has No More Silver*. She has begun
writing the third novel in this trilogy, as well as a biography of Sir
Thomas Gates.

Join us at 7:45 p.m. in the Beck Room at the Bon Air Presbyterian Church,
9201 West Huguenot Road, Richmond, Virginia. There will be a short GRIVA
meeting before the program with refreshments and social time afterwards.
Our meetings are free to the public and visitors are welcome.

GRIVA has scheduled a research trip to the North Carolina State Archives in
Raleigh, NC, for Thursday, November 12, 2015. A smaller coach has been
reserved thus seats are limited! Contact trip coordinator Anne Price <
[log in to unmask]> before October 29th for availability. Member fee is
$50, non-GRIVA member rate is $60. A registration form can be found at
GRIVA.org or you can register Tuesday evening at GRIVA’s meeting. Hope to
see you on the bus!
