I would have written that sentence two days ago if I had been in the
office reading the e-mail rather than at home tending to important
personal matters and where I have no Internet connection.

Everybody: Please remember that Va-Hist is a public forum for discussing
issues and sources relating to Virginia history. It is entirely
unnecessary and intolerable to insult other subscribers when discussing
history. We will not hesitate to remove subscribers who violate that
rule of civility; we do not remove subscribers for their opinions.

Remember: Every time you press the reply button you send your message to
several hundred people. If members wish to continue this topic, please
do so off-line.
