This incident involved a group of slaves seizing a slave ship while it was in
Va. waters -- around Hampton Roads I believe -- in October 1841.

I understand that several good articles have been written about this event in
recent years.

Is anybody familiar with any such recent scholarship on the Creole, and if so
can you give the me the citations on any such articles?

Thanks,
Mike Taylor
