Hi Ellen,
If you haven't done so, check the LVA website for online photos.

My greatgreat aunt and uncle, Mariam Mason Glenn and Theodore Graham Glenn
were the owners of Glenn's Tavern near Virginia Union Univ during that time
period. The establishment is owned today by members of the Glenn family.
They may also have some old photos or information for you.
