distinction: that of being both impotently antique and freshly  
disgusting.

The persona known as "Mr. South" (a pseudonym typically lacking in  
subtlety and imagination) is obviously a carefully calculated left- 
wing caricature designed to represent white Southern traditionalists  
as ignorant and bigoted fools, and thus to bring them into disrepute  
by fraud.

There is, however, no need to waste additional pixels on this  
person's attempt to disgrace the community of opinion he or she  
purports to represent.  If banning is against the admirably tolerant  
policies available to the sponsors of this list, may I suggest that  
the rest of us on the list employ the Rules, Preferences, Spam, Junk,  
or other screening devices of our email programs to consign all his/ 
her future incoming messages directly and automatically to the  
electronic slop jar they merit?
