The University of Missouri press has a long history of publishing
titles in African American literature and culture, as well as other
areas of the Black Studies and many other subjects. If you don't have
time to send an email, please like the Save the University of
Missouri Press Facebook page. As you might have heard, President
Timothy Wolfe of the University of Missouri recently announced that the
University of Missouri Press will close or be phased out beginning in
July 2012. A Facebook page "Save the University of Missouri Press"
has been started to raise public awareness, but members might also
write individually to those instrumental in this decision at the
addresses below

Steve Graham, Senior Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, U

Here are the email addresses of the chairs and vice chairs of the House
and Senate Appropriations (Ed) and Higher Education Committees. Rep.
Lair is a former high school teacher and seems quite supportive. Please
drop them a note:  [log in to unmask] ; [log in to unmask] ;
