A good first step would be to consult the Jefferson Digital Archive at

http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/jefferson/

where there are a slew of searchable databases of Jefferson letters,
autobiography, Notes on Virginia, and quotation anthologies. Search for
something distinctive in the passage - "Eden' for example.

Good luck.
