Greetings All!Information about the two 1894 Petersburg, Virginia, baseball players, John Foreman and Bob Stafford, is now up on the Prince George County, VAGenWeb site. Foreman had a rather colorful career. He was accused of throwing a game, but he defended himself in an interesting letter to the [Petersburg] Index-Appeal, and was cleared. Accounts of his exploits have been abstracted from the paper for 1894 and 1895. Stafford played for Petersburg in 1894, and his newspaper references have also been abstracted. Their photographs, in their uniforms, are included. For those interested in 1894 Petersburg, VA, baseball:www.rootsweb.com/~vapgeorg/baseball.htmlEnjoy!Eve S. Gregory, Web Mistress
