Hi, Dan. I wish I knew the answer to your question, but do not. I doubt
that there is a source for the intra-African trade comparable to the
Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade database, which is really what you want.
However, I have a couple of suggestions:

1. Contact either, or both, the following scholars, both of whom will be
able to guide you toward authoritative information: Professor Paul E.
Lovejoy of the Department of History, York University, Toronto; and/or
Professor Joseph C. Miller, Department of History, University of Virginia,
Charlottesville. (Some resourceful Googling should yield contact
information for both.)

2. Post your query on H-SLAVERY, if you have not already done so. If you
are not subscribed to H-SLAVERY, I would be happy to post your query for
you, with your permission.

Best wishes--
