Hi Don, The Wren Chapel is not "just another room".  It is a Chapel for people of all faiths
   
  “Consecration”,  is the dedication of the building to God – not to the Protestant Church.
  A Church or Chapel does not need to be unconsecrated unless the walls are mostly or entirely destroyed, expanded or if it is re-dedicated to a purely secular use.   Nothing has been destroyed, not even the cross. The Wren Chapel is not primarily being used for secular use.  
   
  The Episcopal Church has a long history of providing Chapels of Ease”, Seafarers’ Chapels, hospital chapels and the like.  If we really intend for people of all faiths to use these facilities, I don’t see the harm in making them user-friendly and available.  Certainly a tax- supported institution must open for all faiths.   It’s the law.
