This is the first I've heard anyone say Mary Ball was a Huguenot refugee, or even French in any way. Her half sister, Easter Ball, did marry Rawleigh Chinn but I am not aware of any French connection there either. 

I''d be very interested in any documentation of this. I don't think there is any, but  I'd love to know where you came up with this. We don't even know the origins of the emigrant, William Ball, Sr., except that he came from England to Virginia in 1653 (or perhaps a little earlier.
