Thanks to Alyson and Maurice. Actually, this request was held up for a few days so I went ahead and picked the one I thought seemed best. To my relief, it was this book! I'm really looking forward to her reading and then sending it to ME. I will be sure to tell my mother that I personally know the great grandson of James Duke.

I see several books available about her. I am asking this learned group's opinion on the BEST book about her, and perhaps spying general in Richmond during the war.
