      Old Dominion University invites application for a one-year
Lecturer in United States History qualified to teach Virginia history
and general-education History courses beginning July 25, 2006.  Full
time, 12-month position.   4/4 teaching load plus 2 courses in the
summer.  Will teach at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center as
well as at the Norfolk campus.  Ph. D. in History desirable.  Successful
candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching
undergraduates and should have an interest in teaching through distance
media and electronic pedagogies. Please send letter of application,
transcripts, names and addresses of three references to Dr. John Kuehl,
Chair, Department of History, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA
23529-0091.  Review of applications will begin April 27 and continue
