If Yuengling is your beer of choice then you might be surprised to learn that 
the company once had a brewery in Richmond. An 1874 letter found in the 
papers of Governor James L. Kemper spurred one LVA archivist to learn more 
about the company and its Virginia connection. See this week’s entry on the
