*Tuesday, 22 May 2018*, 7:30 pm, Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 West
Huguenot Road, Richmond.

*Care and Interpretation of Heirloom Textiles* by Colleen Callahan, costume
& textile historian.

Ms. Callahan served as curator of costume and textiles at the Valentine
Richmond History Center for eighteen years.  She will present an
illustrated lecture describing the care of family textiles and clothing
heirlooms, including cleaning, packing and storing. Additionally, Ms
Callahan will date and discuss photographs based on the clothing and other
features. Member photos emailed by 8 May will be included in the
discussion. (Email to [log in to unmask]) Attendees may also bring a
clothing or textile item that Ms Callahan will examine for identification,
dating and care recommendations.
