Many thanks indeed.  Its mid semester now, and my time is short.  But I will look at the works you recommend with great interest.

I've enjoyed our conversation thus far very much--anything that forces me to extend my mind and thought is always welcome.  My deep appreciation to you for sustaining your end of it.

Check out the Novak essay on the Templeton web site.  He makes arguments broadly similar to the positions I've been staking out here.
