I have seen the film, and I think that it is excellent. It reaches into the
hearts and souls of the men who led the war. It shows the powerful
leadership of Lee, Jackson, and Chamberlin and their relationship with God
as well. It also shows the tenderness of these men to their wives,
children, and others. You feel that you really get a glimpse of these men
from the inside. The movie is supposed to be historically accurate and many
of the dialogs are the exact words taken from diaries and historical
documents. It would make an excellent teaching tool for Civil War history.
Everyone should see it.

Just curious... ...
since all this started over one person's comments on the type of person who
might not like the film 'Gods and Generals', has anyone else seen the film?
The reviews [New York Times, for one] have not been all that great, any
opinion out there on the film itself?
